Wash your face- Genesis

Sometimes if not always change and starting anew is perhaps one of the most scariest things one will ever have to do because in that moment we surrender to the unknown. Not only do we surrender that moment but our hopes and futures and fear shows its nasty head. We surrender to the fear of the unknown and perhaps even the fear of failure.

Many circumstances drive us to a place where we have to start over whether it be losing a job, a heartbreaking break up, divorce or maybe moving to a new place or simply starting at college and this process is what I call washing your face- the process of removing dirt or residue on the face in preparation for anointment, or laymen terms cleaning up from the night before in preparation for today. lets look at the 3 steps to a clean face.

  1. In washing one’s face, one has to first acknowledge that the face is not clean, maybe for you this means to recognize that the truth about the current situation, that the situation is toxic, inhibiting or maybe even too comfortable. One has to understand that the only way to get clean is to wash their face and that the dirt has reached a point where a face wipe would not do justice.
This is important because one cannot wash a face they think is clean.

2. Washing one’s face involves picking the correct products, not too harsh or not to mild- one cannot use bleach or just water to wash the face. likewise when we look to scrub off the scars of the past we aim to leave behind us, we ought to trust the process, not rush into settling or healing from that broken heart but to rather take it as it comes and we also ought to be careful of delaying the cleansing if our face by letting fear overtake us

3. Now after choosing the products we commence to the process of washing and in that process while foam covers one’s face and should that foam enter the eyes it would cause discomfort and irritation but in that moment one gets rid one all dirt and all residue that is evidence of yesterday. when that process happens in our lives fear settles, “what am i going to look like after this?” or most commonly “what if these products don’t work?” this process maybe the hardest because often the things that should be removed are ones that we hold onto – the memories or even the pain- one holds onto them for the simple fact that they once brought joy. The biggest fear is that one knows they will probably never be the same and that should be exciting! Deep in the heart of hearts one knows that its for their own good and most importantly one is getting CLEAN!

Now that your face is clean look at mirror and smile. after one has removed all dirt and has a clean face, only then can one expect a fresh anointing. A fresh anointing cannot be put on a dirty face! Now that yours is clean and pores are open and ready to receive and absorb nutrients give them only the best and do not forget sunscreen. what is meant is this once you have healed from all that was, automatically one is now receptive to anything, however one must make sure what they receive will be nutritious and protect oneself to anything damaging.

enjoy your clean face

  1. True indeed. Sometimes it’s good to see and recognize our dirt as well as our scars.
Our past normally dictates us especially when is aware that we fear facing it. This can include a bad relationship, bejng victimized or worse, having had made a decision that altered you path in the worst possible way……
Acceptance remains key, forgiveness unlocks the door to start all over – these may be one of the most important products that one can use to clean up the dirt. Finally, asking for help where necessary, to a trusted individual becomes the scrub – removing all dirt, for new annointing to just flow without hindrance.
